If we think we have a call to the Carmelite way of life and if the novice director agrees that we might have a genuine call to Ware Carmel then we will continue to discern. This is a long process!
Stage Two is Initial Formation.
The word ‘formation’ simply means growing in God. It is the Holy Spirit who forms us. If we cooperate we never stop growing.
Sometimes the Holy Spirit’s action on the human person is compared with the way warm wax can be moulded and shaped. If we tend the fire of God’s Love within us we will be more accepting to the action of the Spirit.
Mary, Mother of God, gave herself wholly to the action of the Spirit and she is our model and guide.

The adventure of faith never stops if we are wiling to live faithfully God’s call.. Sisters who have made their final profession need to continue to mature.
